canSERV Annual Meeting Highlights User Impact and Future Opportunities
The canSERV Annual Meeting, held on 25–27 March 2026 in Brussels, brought together key stakeholders from across Europe to reflect on the project’s impact and future role in advancing cancer research.
The first day focused on strategic perspectives, including contributions from the European Commission, scientific leaders, and patient representatives, as well as discussions on the future of the Cancer Mission and Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
A central highlight of the meeting was the strong presence of canSERV users, who took the stage on the first day and throughout the second day to present their research. Their contributions clearly demonstrated the scientific value generated through access to canSERV services and the importance of giving users a platform to share their results and experiences.
The meeting underlined how canSERV enables researchers to access a wide range of integrated cancer research services across Europe, supporting high-quality, collaborative, and innovative projects and it’s role in empowering the research community and strengthening Europe’s capacity to tackle cancer through shared expertise and infrastructure.
Following the public programme, a closed consortium meeting was held, where partners aligned on key priorities and prepared the final steps of the project, which will conclude in summer 2026.
A big ‘Thank You’ to everybody who joined this meeting and supports our project.
